Mathematical Trivia
The Trajectory of a Cannonball?
I’m trying to answer a trivia question, and i just cannot find the answer. The question is “What mathematical shape does a cannonball trace in flight?” I’ve tried every curved based shape that I can think of, but can’t come up with the right answer.
If anyone is interested in seeing the web site in question, here it is.

I have until the end of the day (Wednesday 6/13) to answer the question.
Try this link instead… it’s a site to answer trivia, accumulate points and apply the points to raffles.

Parabola was the correct answer, but I have to wait four hours to award “best answer” status.
It’s a parabola – the horseshoe-shape you see in the graph of y=x^2. For the cannonball, it’s upside down, like a frowny shape.
